    Business Unit/Function - International Collections & Services Division (ICSD)

    Location of Job / Building - Mumbai

    Reporting to : - Exec. VP

    Span of Control Current: - 548 FTE (Mumbai, Gurgaon & Chennai); projected to grow to an aggregate level of 1000 FTE by end of 2010-11(across Mumbai & Chennai, other sites).

    Description

    Oversee s the operations & drive growth of some of the US facing Collection units

    - Overall in-charge for service delivery & day-to-day running of some of our client’s US Collection operations. Responsible to deliver on collection metrics- flow rates- DSO improvement, from various outbound (collection) teams.

    - There are currently 4 collection units in the unit cluster – aggregating the 548 fte, split between Mumbai, Gurgaon & Chennai. However, each of these units has a separate set of clients and thus it does require managing multiple clients in the banking & some allied industry areas at the same time.

    - Lead & drive the planned growth of the US collection units cluster, by partnering with Sales & solution teams aggressively, including actively participating in sales pitches, Solutioning, etc. to new third party clients – so as to deliver on the planned growth of approx 500fte for 2010-11. The growth is likely to entail some fte being placed at client’s Manila centre – and so the brief of this role will extend to sites beyond those in India.

    - P&L responsibility for our client’s US Collection units. Expected to deliver on budgeted revenue, expenses & EBIT levels.

    - Responsible for ensuring a good relationship with client (strong VOC scores). Unit’s principal (operations) client interface, across multiple levels, over daily, weekly, monthly meetings.

    - Ensure appropriate staffing to ensure day-to-day operations are not impacted by vagaries of volumes, absenteeism, load balancing, etc.

    - Human capital development for US Collection teams; including hiring, training, goal setting, development, career planning & performance management, etc.

    Candidate Specification

    - Have extensive experience in collections, including international collection call centers; and preferably collections experience with credit cards/financial products.

    - Understand thoroughly & have a passion for collections & preferably good understanding of providing comprehensive Collection services & related technology infrastructure solutions(collections system, dialer, skip tracing infrastructure, etc) for clients. Have successful track record of running international collection operations in financial services, (including devising & managing appropriate collection strategies, dialer management, portfolio segmentation & skip tracing, etc – to deliver best in calls flow rates).
